The Algeciras based technology development company Omnium Lab Studios

is launching a professional video game development course starting in October, which will be held in the R+D+i building of the Algeciras Technology Campus Foundation (FCTA) and will be taught by professionals in the different multidisciplinary areas that make up video game development.

The course will offer the basic notions for working in the fields of narrative, game design, art, development and production. With the latter, corresponding to the last phase of the course, students will be able to publish their video game on Google Play and also opt for the different formulas for monetising it.

In the course, students will learn about the work of a video game development studio and will be given a professional license of Build Box, a professional tool that allows students to familiarise themselves with the development phase without the need for prior knowledge of coding or programming.

The course will consist of 42 hours of training and will last four months, three hours per week on Mondays and Thursdays (one and a half hours in the afternoons), between October and January. A second round of the course will be held between February and May.

It is aimed at students aged 14 and over, with no age limit, and in small groups of eight students. Those interested in registering can consult the website:
